PADI Drysuit Diver

If you want to explore the wrecks in the seas around the UK coast, then dive dry!

 

 

Extend your diving season! If you want to stay warm and toasty, feeling comfortable in cooler water, you will want to dive in a dry suit.

Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you off from the outside water, and is filled with air, this, along with thermal undersuits, keeps you warm even in surprisingly cold water.

Learn the fundamentals of safely diving in a dry suit and how to deal with air movement in the suit, and how to take care of your dry suit.

The course consists of three main sections. 
Home Study – this is a digital eLearning program that brings the theory reading and video together in one place, this can be accessed on either a tablet or computer.

Pool Orientation – this is when you will be fitted for your drysuit, we then get you in the pool to run you through the fundamental skills of using a drysuit, we always carry out this before taking you to the Open Water dive, no exceptions.

Open Water qualifying dives – you will do two dives over one day, practicing the skills you learnt in the pool, making sure you are comfortable descending, hovering, swimming and ascending in the suit safely.

 

During your dives you will learn about:

• Putting on and taking off your dry suit with minimal assistance
• Mastering buoyancy control using your dry suit
• Dive safety procedures when using a dry suit

PREREQUISITES: 10 years old; PADI Open Water Diver
