Beach Clean Up – Saturday 29th July
PADI Aware Foundation, Kraken Rum
Ocean View Diving Services & the Fortune of War Pub
Ocean View Diving Services, the PADI AWARE Foundation, Kraken Rum, and the Fortune of War Pub are joining forces for a Brighton Beach Clean Up this summer.
This will be both an under water and land based clean up, enabling lots of people to get involved, if we can stop the rubbish going into the water in the first place, that’s the best option!
Starting locally we can make a difference, by helping to keep our local beaches clean we can be part of a bigger community taking care of our environment.
WORLD’S FIRST COCKTAIL BAR THAT ACCEPTS LITTER AS CURRENCY OPENS IN BRIGHTON
- The Kraken Rum is opening the world’s first cocktail bar where cash has been ditched in favour of exchanging a bag of litter for a round of delicious Kraken Rum cocktails
- The first-of-its-kind beach bar will reward goers participating in an earlier beach clean with a party where all drinks are on the Beast as a thank you for protecting its ocean home
- The Kraken Rum has partnered with marine conservation charity PADI AWARE to host the Beast’s Beach Blitz, a two-hour clean of Brighton Beach on Saturday 29th July, which will coincide with a dive for debris off Brighton Pier to help the charity in its mission to reduce ocean debris by half within the next decade
- The Beast will be taking over Fortune of War on Brighton’s seafront for the cleaning extravaganza
Taking place on Saturday 29th July, the first-of-its-kind beach bar will reward hard-working goers participating in a clean of Brighton Beach with a mighty party where all drinks are on the Beast as a thank you for protecting its ocean home. Kicking off at Fortune of War on Brighton’s iconic seafront, the cleaning extravaganza will begin at 12pm sharp – with special Kraken binbags, litter pickers and safety equipment provided for all.
A joint initiative between The Kraken and marine conservation charity partner PADI AWARE, the two-hour clean-up will aim to clear every piece of litter from Brighton Beach – and for those looking to take it one step further, limited positions will be available to go beneath the depths of the sea and quite literally dive for debris.
Then, after a brisk morning of environmental adventuring in honour of The Beast, a selection of delicious Kraken Rum cocktails will be awaiting the return of those adventuring the clean on land or sea – and can be simply redeemed by handing over a full bag of litter!
